Apple Muffins

Apples are commonly used in baked dishes in Germany. There are many nice apples here.... they even have a Melinda here... so does that mean I'm kinda like a Golden Delicious? or kinda like a Granny Smith?

Ingredients

  • 2 cups grated apples, skin on
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

Directions

  1. Put the first seven ingredients into a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Cool then add flour and soda.
  3. Fill paper lined cupcake tins quite full and bake at 350 until cupcakes
  4. spring back when touched in the center.
