Mom's Cup Cakes
This is a recipe that I found in Mom's cookbook. I don't specifically remember her making this recipe but I'm sure she did, from the looks of it, it was made more than once.
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cups crisco(solid)
- 1 Cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 3/4 Cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 Cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Cream crisco, sugar and eggs together.
- Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt
- add alternately with the milk to the first mixture.
- Add vanilla and beat thoroughly.
- Pour into greased muffin or cup cake pans
- bake at 375F for 15 to 20 minutes.
- This recipe makes 16 cup cakes.
