Marble Squares
This is a recipe that was made often around our house. Mom and Daddy worked with the youth at our church and this was a favorite treat at gatherings...
Ingredients
- 1 Cup butter
- 1/2 Cup sugar + 4 Tbsp
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar +4 Tbsp
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 Cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 Cup Pecans
- 1 Cup chocolate chips
Directions
- Pre heat the oven to 350F (176C).
- Grease 13x9x2 pan
- Mix butter, sugars and vanilla together.
- Beat in eggs.
- Blend in flour, soda and salt.
- Mix in nuts.
- Put in pan, place chocolate chips on top and put in the oven for 1 minute.
- Remove and knife through dough to marblize.
- Bake for 30 minute.
- Cut into squares.
